Pack 1 (SP1) ![]() Setting Up Your PC for Use On Your Home Wireless Network 1. If you are in an area which has coverage, your personal wireless network should be automatically detected by Windows XP. Look at your taskbar on the far right -- you'll see an information bubble pop up. Click on the Wireless Network Connection taskbar icon.
2. Under Available wireless networks: select the name of your wireless network. For this example, the network is “linksys”. Select this and click Connect. Note: In the case where you are connecting to a network which
does not have a network key (WEP), you must select "Allow
me to connect…" checkbox, then click Connect.
3. You should now get an indication that you are currently connected to your personal wireless network.
