Setting "sbuh" as Manual/On-Demand

Note: It is imperative that your computer has the latest Windows Updates from Microsoft in order to address known vulnerabilities, fix critical issues, and allow your machine to run with the most up-to-date software to ensure the best possible wireless network performance. For more information on Windows Updates and how you can update your computer, click Start >> Control Panel >> System and Maintenance >> Windows Update.
1. Click Start >> Control Panel.

2. In Control Panel, click on the link "View network status and tasks" under Network and Internet.

3. In Network and Sharing Center, under Tasks (left column), click the "Manage wireless networks" link.

4. In the Manage Wireless Networks menu, click Add.

5. Select Manually create a network profile from the options for adding a network.

6. Enter the following information:
Network name: sbuh
Security type: No authentication (Open)
Encryption type: [greyed out]
Security Key/Passphrase: [greyed out]
[ ] Start this connection automatically (Don't check!)
[ ] Connect even if the network is not broadcasting (Don't check!)

Click Next.
7. Click Close.

8. Back in the Manage Wireless Networks menu, select the newly created "sbuh" network and click the Move down menu item until it is at the very bottom.

9. You should now see that the "sbuh" network is at bottom of the list. You should also see that it is set for "Manually connect." You may now close all open windows at this point.
